Had a similar thought recently, this was definitely comforting to listen to while thinking of it all again. I hope all those old friends are doing well.

Damn, the chunky drums that kick in at 30 seconds are tight. That guitar at 1:10 is pretty solid too. I listened to this last night while driving through the city during a thunderstorm and it really set the mood.

Good pickin' and slidin' as per usual. I really like the harmonic hit at 45 seconds. Hits me right here, mate.

This is heist music for a cyberpunk city. The organ noodling and orchestra hits really makes this track. I dig it!

Givin' me some heavy Cowboy Bebop vibes there, mate. Good stuff!

Also what sort of slide do you use?

LyRikLyNkLyNd responds:

Hell yea, it's for sure the vibe for which I strive.I'm using a Dunlop LapDog steel to play a Regal square-neck resonator. My resonator cone is fucked, the bridge is all jacked sideways, and I can't help but pull the sorrow out of a string. Damn sure wish I could sing

There are so many layers to this. I appreciate how the bass is really dynamic and fun; most musicians neglect that instrument and it's a real shame. That bridge part is really fun, though I'd recommend in the future having some sort of drum fill ending in a crash to lead into the verse a bit better. All around awesome work!

RealBlargMaster responds:

You don't understand, sir. I LIVE FOR BASS! WHAT IS MUSIC WITHOUT DRUMS AND BASS, HUH!? NOTHING, I SAY! NAUGHT! I'm extremely passionate for bass.

I've lurked here since 2005. Made a new account just to start posting my own art and such.
